White Sage and flower petals.
White Sage for transforming any heavy energy back to the highest frequency of light.
The smudging ceremony is a custom of Native American and other Indigenous cultures. For centuries many cultures have used smudging as a way to create a cleansing smoke bath that is used to purify the body, aura, energy, ceremonial/ritual space or any other space and personal articles.
Smudging Prayer:
May your hands be cleansed,
so that they may create beautiful things.
May your feet be cleansed,
so that they may take you where you most need to be.
May your heart be cleansed,
so that you may hear its messages clearly.
May your throat be cleansed,
so that you may speak rightly when words are needed.
May your eyes be cleansed,
so that you may see the signs and wonders of this world.
May this person and space be washed clean by the smoke of these fragrant plants,
And may that same smoke carry our prayers spiralling to the heavens.
How to use: Open all doors, windows, closets. Light smudge stick, wait a moment, then blow out flames. Fan embers lightly to keep smouldering (may need to be relit). Use the smoke to "wash" persons, property or spaces. Work intuitively with your smudge stick, allow yourself to move freely and slowly around your room / environment allowing the smoke to wash over items abs around spaces and corners. You may feel drawn to let the smoke wash under beds, furniture, through closets and cupboards, trust your natural instincts. Keep the doors and windows open for a little while afterwards to ensure all unwanted energies leave the rooms. Ensure your smudge stick is snubbed out completely after use to avoid fire risk. Use a shell or pottery to catch ashes.
Use as often as you like, or work with the moon cycles - new moon and full moon. Beautiful to cleanse sacred spaces prior to ceremony, meditation or other practices and rituals.
